Bus Transportation Registration Open for 2022-23

School bus registration is now open for the 2022-23 school year. Please note that there are some important changes to our transportation registration process and fees for the upcoming school year.
Applying for Bus Transportation
All students who ride a St. Paul Division bus must now apply for busing yearly. This includes students who ride a rural bus.
Bus transportation applications are available through the school registration process. If families do not apply for busing at the time of registration, they can do so at a later date by logging into the Powerschool Parent Portal and selecting School Engage.
Note: Town of St. Paul In-Town Busing is on a first come first serve basis and subject to seat availability. Early registration is encouraged.
Bus applications received prior to August 24, 2022 will be processed immediately. Applications received after August 24, 2022, may result in a wait time for students/children accessing a school bus in the fall.
Approved busing applications will receive an email confirmation with further details.
Online transportation registration assistance is available at Central Office.
Fees
Effective for the 2022-2023 school year, all rural riders will be charged a $50 base fee with a maximum of $150 per family. Town of St. Paul riders will also see a slight increase in fees.
Transportation has seen a 4.6% increase in provincial funding, however significant increases to insurance, fuel and equipment costs mean that this funding is not sufficient to cover rising costs. As a result, the Division has no choice but to follow the lead of many other districts and implement a base transportation fee for all riders. The new fee is necessary for buses to remain in service.
Please see links below to view all transportation fees that will apply for the 2022-2023 school year.
Payments
Once bus applications are processed and approved, you will receive an email notification listing the fees and further details.
Bus applications will not be considered complete until fees are paid in full or a payment plan is set up.
A payment plan for fees can be set up in monthly installments. If late fees are not received by January 31, the parent/guardian may be asked to withdraw their child(ren) from riding the bus.
Online payments are available for all transportation fees through School Cash Online. Families can go to their login and add applicable fees to their cart.
Transportation payments can also be made at Central Office or via E-transfer.
Online payment assistance is available at Central Office.
